Fabric Garden Goodness

Busy little bee today, cutting, organising, planting ready for the weather!  Spring is definately here :O)

A quick visit to the village Post Office :-

… winging its way at this very moment :O)  This afternoon I’ll be scanning and photographing more fab fabrics ready for Etsy {see our button on our FB page} and Ebay, not forgetting I’ve some crochet to work on and get finished.

Ah, lovely the sun is coming out :O)  So I’m off out for some fresh air…

Just a wee change from cutting fabric for the Paintbox Quilt Along that I’ve been working on.  I love a little bit of Crochet, so I’m sketching some colours, planning the size because this maybe blanket like and checking out how much of Rowan Kidsilk Haze is in my Stash.

Colours so far – Jelly, Trance, Candy Girl, Blood, Majestic, Putty, Liqueur, Dewberry, Marmalade, Meadow, Hurricane and Mist.  Lovely colours with some brilliant names!

Yes, I’m going to admit it now – I have Wool Stash and Fabric Stash and I wondered today how many others have the same addiction :O)

My space will be a little different for a day or two as I’m likely to start cutting more fabric for the Quilt Along…  So what’s in your space today?  Now you’ve seen mine!

Ebay Fabrics Added…

Tonite, I’ve added a few more fabrics to Ebay :O)  Busy cutting Fat Quarters again, but this time a new bundle has been added to Etsy!  I’m trying to split up the ranges, as there is so many to choose from.  Its a bit more organised, but as I’ve found rather time consuming…

After a first visit to Hobbycraft at The Fort, Easterhouse, Glasgow on my return I took a detour via the Post Office in the village!

On the Roll Call today :-

Orpington, Kent = Tring, Hertfordshire = Finchampstead, Berkshire

… a few different places this week.  Some of which I had to check the spelling :O)

On Sunday, I was indeed entertained and wined and dined with Bovril and a Pie that I couldn’t really finish.  Not my cup of tea so to speak!  It was a game well won, with a few points missing from penalties…  have you guessed where I was yet?

Ebay Fabrics Added…

P & B Textiles Bundle

I’ve added this lovely little fabric bundle to Ebay this evening, one lucky person is going to get the last of this little lot!  I hope it makes its way to a new home shortly.

The problem I have is that when it comes to end of rolls its difficult to let them go, especially as they look so pretty.  So in order to make room for new fabric, I have to get myself into gear and get listing.

Paintbox Quilt Along

Oh, Fransson!

 

It all started with reading Kirsty’s Blog Kootoyou, last week and found myself on Elizabeth’s Oh, Fransson!  Oh, boy was I enthused, out came some fabric all prettied up onto the Bookshelves cleared out from last week and came across a lovely book hardly read, Color the quilter’s guide by Christine Barnes.

Three Blocks later, this started on Wednesday and I think about 80 blocks on I will have a lovely Paintbox style quilt having used up some of my own personal stash.  I did deviate from Elizabeth’s pattern slightly by keeping all the fabric cuts at 2.5″ wide each, hence bigger blocks!

Not particularly tidy and busy with work in progress now.  At least I know I’m prepared for plenty of fabric cutting etc.  So what have you got planned this weekend?  Happy Easter to everyone! :O)

As part of Kirsty’s themed Thursdays, that lovely lady has given me the impetus to take some photos of the space I’m working in at the moment.  So please take a note of the New Fabric, sort of tidy bookshelves, the WIP desk come cutting area and the desk that needs just a wee clean!

This doesn’t include cut fabric already for posting or the line of fabrics awaiting their final cut :O)

Not forgetting my own personal projects and WIPS that are on the go!  Did I mention the Things To Do List, maybe not.
